FYI.

I also installed 2.5 Beta over my current regitered version. It did not resolve the issue.

Hi cobene,

Are you using Windows XP? I can reproduce this problem only in Windows XP.

Anyway there'll be official BlogJet 2.5 (no more beta!) soon with a fix.

I've never been able to get the RSS bandit plugin to work.

BlogJet This! shows on right-click, but when I click it, it simply opens another instance of BlogJet. It never inserts the article.

What am I still missing?

Thanks a lot for your help, Kim! I've just downloaded v. 2.5.0.12. There's only one shortcut left which interferes with local mappings that I'm aware of. But personally I'm already happy, since I can stick to Blogjet when preparing entries.

Here's the last interfering mapping:

CTRL+ALT+e

Please note it toggles the pull-down menu only when in "Normal" mode (WYSIWYG editor field): screenshot

There's no issue with the above-mentioned mapping while in the subject field or in the HTML (Code) editor.

Thank you once again, Kim!

Unfortunately, as much as I'd love the native ALT shortcuts to work, they still don't. When I press the right ALT button with the letter "o" hoping to produce an "ó" character (used often in my native language), I get an "Open Draft" window.

Screenshot

This is just an example. Too bad :-(

PS BTW, the Right ALT button in languages like Polish is a shortcut for using CTRL + ALT. In other words, instead of typing Right ALT + "o" to get "ó", I can just as well use CTRL + ALT + "o". To remove such issues, simply try using CTRL + ALT with one of the following letters: a, c, e, l, n, o, s, x, z. If those shortcuts aren't used by the UI, there shouldn't be any problems typing local characters either.

Does anyone know if the Typepad problem was cleared up in the beta version. The last time I tried the beta it still only allowed me to use my default blog account on Typepad and I have 10 blogs which the previous version saw and allowed me to create seperate profiles for each.

Hi Jack,

You could change default font for WYSIWYG Editor in IE option.

IE Default Fonts

There'll be default font option in next release.

In 2.5.0.4 the new Live Spell Checking feature takes too long to un-mark a word after I have corrected it. However, I generally turn these things off, since I use spell-check-before-posting.

Thanks, Jack! The WYSIWYG editor in this version has been replaced with different one, so we need to fix a lot of unnoticed regressions. Keep your bug reports coming!

In 2.5.0.4 the font that appears first time appears to be a standard Times or Courier. I had to explicitly change from one to another to get back to my favorite Tahoma. And very strangely: the font name listed in the dialog box was "Tahoma" no matter that it wasn't the font I had just selected.

2.5.0.4 Still overwrites my BlogThis template. Specifically, I modify the blogthis.htm template in Progam Files\BlogJet\Data\Templates. This file was written over. (It looks like blogthis.js was not over-written.)

This has always bugged me about BlogJet. When you create an indent section, the HTML is always marked up with some additional attributes:

<blockquote style="MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px" dir="ltr">

I would expect no attributes, unless I add some option myself.

Another item in the Spell Check code. I have noticed that it is catching punctuation as spelling errors. In particular it is catching the end of parenthetical expressions (like this), which is odd.
