Second the comment: "Browsing though the two horisontal arrows is painfully slow"

Be good to search for tags, names or just input photo page and have the image added.

I agree.

I actually recently wrote about this issue in another posting on this forum:

I also have a small problem with the Flickr function. Browsing though the two horisontal arrows is painfully slow. It seems that BlogJet doesn't cache photos from Flickr and with 700+ photos there it really is a pain. I think a better solution would be - especially since you already are using a plug-in in FireFox - to allow one to insert a photo from Flickr in a maner similar to the Blog This function from Flickr but to BlogJet instead. This would also make it possible for one, to blog other peoples photos like the Blog This function on Flickr.

In reality it shouldn't have been there, but it was a copy-edit from a mail i sent to the support-mail, and this didn't go though the filters :(

I'm aware though that we aren't taking an entire equal approach to this. You would download, resize and upload, whereas i would just deeplink to the photos on Flickr (which Flickr by the way allows) as well as link to original photo-page.

From what Kim tells in the former issue-thread, i think it actually should be possible to do a simple rewrite of the GreaseMonkey script AllSizes+, to perform this operation. My knowledge of GM-scripting is almost zero though :(

Kind regards Henrik

Hi Kim

Thanks for your reply. I actually thought that support codingrobots.com would lead to Dmitry, but never mind :)

I have been looking for information how to make the call for starting and pasting from clipboard into BlogJet, but this doesn't seem to be documented anywhere?

Kind regards Henrik

On the screenshot - you sent it to me - it looks like it's a content of clipboard. Firefox extension (as well as for IE) works by copying selected text to clipboard and then calling BlogJet. BlogJet then inserts clipboard contents into post. It looks like when there's no text selected in Firefox, BlogJetThis! extension just inserts current clipboard contents.

I (sort of) solved a problem with defect xmlrpc in several versions of the Wordpress multiuser (WP-MU) blogsystem (versions 1.2.1 and 1.5.1 amongst others), where the problem was that BlogJet returned a "item is not a struct (Exception)" - , when trying to connect to the blog during 'Add new blog'. I found out that the problem was that when BlogJet (amonst other applications) tried fetch the list of blogs, the server only returned this:

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<methodResponse>
<params>
<param>
<value>
<array><data>
<value><array><data>
</data></array></value>
</data></array>
</value>
</param>
</params>
</methodResponse>

While some applications (like ScribeFire) was able to handle this, others like BlogJet and Flickr can't. The reason was that some versions of WP-MU didn't support multiple blogs very well - or not at all and in some cases the xmlrpc.php also seemed to be defunct. In the case of BlogJet the solution was somewhat simple:

In apitypes.xml i added the following (notice that MultipleBlogs is set to false):

<API>
<Id>29</Id>
<Title>WordPress-MU (defect xmlrpc)</Title>
<APIName>MovableType</APIName>
<DefaultHost>henrik.urbanblog.dk</DefaultHost>
<DefaultPort>80</DefaultPort>
<DefaultEndPoint>/xmlrpc.php</DefaultEndPoint>
<ShowSubject>False</ShowSubject>
<MultipleBlogs>False</MultipleBlogs>
<PublishEnabled>True</PublishEnabled>
<FileSupport>True</FileSupport>
<HasCategories>True</HasCategories>
<EnableDates>True</EnableDates>
<EnableExcerpt>True</EnableExcerpt>
<EnableKeywords>True</EnableKeywords>
<EnableComments>True</EnableComments>
<EnableTrackbacks>True</EnableTrackbacks>
<EnablePings>True</EnablePings>
<UseSSL>False</UseSSL>
</API>

BlogJet now works fine - it fetches categories, blog title, allow publish correctly and everything. My only setback - which i think might relate to this:

When i try to insert af page-link using the 'BlogJet This!' in Firefox 3 (using blogjetthis7.xpi from your site) it also add some wierd text, which looks like a list of values. In Internet Explorer this isn't a problem though. Do you have any suggestions?

I also have a small problem with the Flickr function. Browsing though the two horisontal arrows is painfully slow. It seems that BlogJet doesn't cache photos from Flickr and with 700+ photos there it really is a pain. I think a better solution would be - especially since you already are using a plug-in in FireFox - to allow one to insert a photo from Flickr in a maner similar to the Blog This function from Flickr but to BlogJet instead. This would also make it possible for one, to blog other peoples photos like the Blog This function on Flickr.

I'm running Blog Jet 2.0.0.10 on a Vista Ultimate 32 (danish) and use FireFox 3.0.7 (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; da; rv:1.9.0.7) Gecko/2009021910 Firefox/3.0.7).

Ok, i am now able to reproduce the problem. It happens when i am flipping through the flickr pictures to fast on the insert "image box". Went a little fast, before it was done getting the next pictures i pressed the next again because i knew it was further out. Then the OK and Cancel button stopped working.

Btw: flipping through flickr images to post them on the blog is a hazl! Goes really slow.

I have an really annoying problem!!
During writing a blog post and pressing the insert image the "OK" and "Cancel" butten stops working sometimes. Nothing happens when i push them. Everything else works fine on the insert image box, like changing all parameters and choosing pictures both from flickr and localy. But the final step, pressing ok or cancel does not work at times. This happens almost every other time i post an blogpost with images. I am not able to save my post and all my work is gone when i finally have to force close the program. I am posting my images from the flickr service. At times when i press the next button to see the next images i get an error message "Connection lost" or something like that, but then it works fine again (Maybe linked??). I am looking at my flickr images in an browser at the same time i am writing an posting pictures on BlogJet.

BlogJet seems to use 50% of my CPU when it hangs but nothing happens. (I have waited hours, because loosing my post is annoying).
I am running Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit on a Dell E6400 laptop.
I am using BolgJet version 2.0.0.10
I am posting to Squarespace, mostad.squarespace.com

It's great with Flickr support - but I don't want to use my own images.

I want to be able to search flickr for creative common photos (like one can do on Flickr.com, advanced search) that I can use - automatically download them, resize and crop them and upload them to my own http://FTP. Heck, maybe even automatic attribution inserting into my blog text.

Now, that would be nice :-)
