We talked by email, but I just wanted to explain here in forum for the benefit of everyone.

* Currently Mémoires doesn't support importing from RTFD. You can open the file in TextEdit, create a new entry manually and copy and paste the content into it from TextEdit.

* To sync a journal between computers, you can use Dropbox. Just put your journal into your Dropbox folder (File > Save As..., and select this folder), and it will be syncing.

New User: I have attempted to move entries from MacBookPro to iMac without success. I save entry as RTFD.
When attempting to import I receive the message "...could not be opened. Memories cannot open files in the "rich text with attachments (RTFD) format.

Well darn, this is one of the main features that I bought this program to use between computers.

I am running Memoires Version 3.2 (52).

I wanted to import my entries from MacJournal. I followed the directions in the Help guide, clicked the button and --

Gah! Memoires created 23 separate journals from my MacJournal! All entries are dated February 19, 2011!

Obviously this is not the outcome I was expecting.

How can I import all of my MacJ entries into one Memoires journal, and have the dates show up properly?

Any advice? Or must I import each entry manually? I have a lot of entries... :-(

Hi

I am looking if there will be a export/import function for BlogJet settings, it will take up much of our time if I need to-re-keyin all my blogs setting to another new installation.

Thank You

There is no DOC or PDF import, because we want to keep Mémoires focused on being the best software for writing journals instead of making a general-purpose document archiving software. It you want the latter, I suggest you to try Yojimbo from Bare Bones Software.

You can, however, open your documents in TextEdit (for .DOC) or Preview (for .PDF) and copy and paste content into a new entry in Mémoires.

I don't see any way of importing .doc or pdf or other files into a date as a entry - is this not possible at present with this software, or is this an oversight on my part?

Just copy the journal file itself. You can find out where it's located by holding Command and clicking on the icon in the title bar of Mémoires (screenshot: http://imgur.com/MTa5e.png).

I have an encrypted blog on my old computer and I'd like to move it to my new computer. What files do I need to move over? I've tried exporting my journal, but there is no option to import the resulting file into the program.

No. I guess copying or moving to one of these folders is the easiest way to import them.

I want to a couple of years worth of journal entries from Journler, but the import dialogue has the option for Journler disabled. I read in the help documents that the option will be disabled if I don't have Journler installed, but I do have it installed. Is Memoires failing to recognize that I have Journler, or is there another reason the option might be disabled? If Memoires is just failing to recognize that I have the program, is there some way to force it to recognize?

are there any plans to allow the user to either:

A) de-encrypt a Memoire file once it has been encrypted
or
B) import the encrypted file into another, unencrypted file?

I want to combine 2 files, one encrypted, one not, into one file without losing formatting and image placing and without cut and pasting!
