There is no DOC or PDF import, because we want to keep Mémoires focused on being the best software for writing journals instead of making a general-purpose document archiving software. It you want the latter, I suggest you to try Yojimbo from Bare Bones Software.

You can, however, open your documents in TextEdit (for .DOC) or Preview (for .PDF) and copy and paste content into a new entry in Mémoires.

I don't see any way of importing .doc or pdf or other files into a date as a entry - is this not possible at present with this software, or is this an oversight on my part?

Hello, has there been any progress on this? Can I look forward to a maintenance release or should I start trying to AppleScript a workaround import?

Edit: I checked Console for output, and Memoires is printing this to the Console when I click the Import button. I hope this helps.

If it helps: Mac OS X 10.5.2 (with sqlite3 version 3.4.0) and Mémoires 1.1 (40). I could probably write an AppleScript to do this myself, but I'd like to know if this is an actual bug before I spend an evening working around something I might not need to.

I'm not sure if this is supposed to be working this way, so I'm going to post here for help. I have roughly 50 entries in my Journler database right now, and I'm trying to import into Mémoires. The Journler option is highlighted in the Import dialog, but when I click "Import" nothing happens. However, when I got to quit Mémoires, I get prompted to save an unsaved file. I save it, and reopen it, and it comes back with a new SQL database with only one entry imported from Journler (the first entry). It's almost as if the importer is silently failing to import. No Console messages are generated on Import either. Has this been seen before? Am I crazy?
