HI, using the latest WP and BJ, i note that BJ doesnt collect the already defined TAGS from WP.
Catagories are OK, but not TAGS.

Any fix ?

Currently if you enter two words for search (for example, "hello mac"), it will look for this exact phrase ("hello mac"). I agree that this needs improvement. Thank you!

I am a new user and am very happy with memoires. Also, I second the request for tags to enhance searches. I have taken your earlier advice to add tags myself to the bottom of my entries, which works ok. One advantage of official tags though is that they avoid the synonymy problem. That is, by hand I may tag one post as "travel" and another as "trips". With tags, usually one is given a list of previously used tags to choose from, so you don't repeat yourself. One thing I have done is to put a period before tags, eg. ".travel". So if I search for the word with the period I only get entries which I tagged, instead of ones with the word travel in them.

One other question: Is it possible to search for entries with two specific words in them? I find that if I put two words in the search box, I don't get any entries, even if some contain both those words. Maybe I don't understand the way mac handles searches though. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ryan

Thanks, Dmitry. I am clear now that Blogjet works with the content on the web server and not in its own repository. It would be wonderful if you would consider that feature for a future release, if there happens to be sufficient interest from your users.

1. Try typing "1000" into the field and click "Refresh". I'm not sure if BlogJet will receive all your posts, though, because APIs limit the number of posts they send to clients.
2. I see, thanks!
3. There are two kinds of drafts: local offline drafts save as files on your drive, and online drafts that are located in WordPress.
6. You can download the updated plugin here: http://www.codingrobots.com/support/knowledge-base/blogjet/blogjetthis-plugins/firefox3/

Hi Dmitry,
thanks so much.
1. I actually have over 1000 posts already published so am not sure how to use the refresh to grab the content and get it to all reside on my hard drive in the blogjet directory.
2. It has happened to me a few times before when I have posted a duplicate article. WordPress has a plugin to detect duplicates but it is preferable to be able to check and verify before uploading.
4.I may not be getting the whole idea about drafts in blogjet, but thought my drafts resided within it and not on the blog in its draft folder.
6. the plugin for blogjet doesn't work under FF 3.x. You are probably already aware of this.

Hi! Thanks for your feedback.

Some comments on your suggestions:

1. Already there: click "Refresh" button in posts list.
2. Why? Can you suggest a reason for this?
3. Agree.
4. You can view online drafts in posts list (though it's not structured by published/drafts).

Hi,
I am new to blogjet and installed it to learn more about its features. These are a handful of things that would be ideal if they could be incorporated:
1. database of blog posts already published. This would include those posts published before installing blogjet, so would include an import of the data.
2. the ability to verify that the current post is not a duplicate by comparing it to existing published posts.
3. the ability to add to the list of categories and also view a list and pick from existing tags from within blogjet
4. the ability to view the current drafts
5. keep actual blog and blogjet synchronized
many thanks,
Sue

This is because BlogJet currently doesn't support native tags in WordPress (see this discussion), so it posts them as a part of post body. WordPress doesn't recognize them there, so it cannot show them in "popular tags".

Hi,

I'm having a problem with native tags in BlogJet (2.0.0.10) against WordPress MU 2.7. Even though i have selected 'Use native tags where supported' (in 'Tools' -> 'Preferences' -> 'Links') the tags are inserted in the blog content with links to Technorati. How do post the tags to WP-MU's native tag system?

Also it appears that there is now way to allow for spaces in tags (which WP allows for) or does this have to be enabled somewhere?

For comparison i have tried Windows Live Write which allow just that, so both WP-MU and the API used is capable of this.

Kind regards Henrik
