Any update on this function?

Several other programs, for example menuicalclock, they give you a textbox where you can enter a string such as %time, %month %date and that could work here as well...

How about having the time shown only if the entry has no title?

I would like to support this idea,

this small feature would greatly improve the functionality of the app and would be very useful for me also!

It indeed duplicates functionality but is in my view way better than standard 'Untitled'. This however, as the poster above mentioned, would be a nice option for a preference in which users might define their own standard title. Thank you!

Why not give the user the option to decide? In other words, make it a part of preference.

For instance, I would love to enter the date rather than time for my entry; so, if I state "ddd, mm, dd, yyyy," then it might say Friday, April 3, 2009 in the title.

or someone might prefer "Daily Entry" and can add other notation afterward.

Thanks.

Definitely, "Untitled" is not the best choice, however I do not like current time as new entry's title, because it can be confusing (like "if I change time there, why sort order doesn't change?"), and kind of duplicates functionality (Mémoires already stores time). Any ideas?

I write a number of entries for any given day and was wondering if it'd be possible to add a preference to default new entry titles to the current time. Right now it defaults to 'Untitled' so I have to either enter the time or come up with some other descriptive title like 'Morning'.

Thanks much! Great piece of software!
