I selected the "Reopen last document on startup" and always quit (CMD+Q) without closing the journal first, but when I launch Memoires, it opens a new blank journal every time. I'm running Memoires 1.1 on a Leopard (MacBook).

Hello? Any help? If it helps, my "Open Recent" menu is always empty.

Please try this: open Disk Utility, click on your disk, and then "Repair Permissions".

    Memoires 2.0 (44)
    Mac OS X 10.6.1 build 10B504

I have a similar problem. Every time I reboot Memoires forgets all the recently opened files and doesn't open the last file. I have to manually open the document again, after which it works fine (until I reboot).

After running Repair Permissions, I get this:

Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAgent" has been modified and will not be repaired.
Warning: SUID file "System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/DesktopServicesPriv.framework/Versions/A/Resources/Locum" has been modified and will not be repaired.

    I don't know if it's related.

This seems to be a widely known issue in Snow Leopard: http://discussions.apple.com/search.jspa?search=Go&q=open+recent
I don't know how to fix it or when Apple will fix this. Some people had luck with repairing permissions or deleting preferences file "com.apple.recentitems.plist" and restarting. Maybe this will work. I'd discover more if I had the same issue, but I don't have it.

We'll move to something else in the next release instead of relying on Cocoa's Open Recent menu for storing the last journal.

    Thank you!

Did 10.6.2 update fix this issue?

This wasn't fixed with 10.6.2. Repairing permissions now...

Repairing permissions with Cocktail seemed to have worked. It's in my Dropbox though (getdropbox.com) so I wonder if that could affect permissions.

I can confirm that Dropbox changes the permission after a bit, however other programs are able to keep track of recently opened files and last open files in Dropbox.

Thank you! What permissions are being set to file in Dropbox?

I'm not sure. This seems to have fixed itself. I also have Cocktail running at night and that automatically repairs permissions, so unfortunately I can't give you any more info other than it seems to be working now. If it happens again I'll see if I can get you some steps.

Thank you anyway! I'll check it with my Dropbox.
