Error on startup after fresh install

hi all,

I've traipsed the interweb, forums and blog to no avail. Running Vista Business 32bit SP1 on a Dell Vostro 200. Garden variety desktop. More details if required.

Was running a trial of 1.6xxx and working fine. Uninstalled 1.6 and installed 2.0.0.10
on startup, a popup window says "Error reading PasswordEdit.PasswordChar: Invalid property value (EReadError)"

If I click OK, it disappears and I can continue loading BlogJet, but on trying to Manage Accounts (F5) the same error pops up again. Obviously I can't use the software in this state as I have yet to define my blog settings.

Please help. Much obliged.

It is English Vista? Also, do you have Windings font installed?

Thanks for the reply. I am using US English Vista and in my C:\Windows\Fonts folder there is
Webdings, Wingdings, Wingdings2 and Wingdings3 installed.
