Currently there are no plans for iPad or iPhone versions.
We are not satisfied with how Apple handles developer relations, so we're waiting for improvements on this front.
Thanks for understanding!
I completely understand your frustration with Apple's approval process. It is BS plain and simple.
But I urge you to make an iPad version of Memories. The journal apps currently available are garbage compared with your software. The iPad just hit 1M sales and there are TONS of people who would love to use your software.
Don't let Apple's rules keep you guys from getting your software out to the world. Make a lot of money with the app store, then campaign to get them to fix it.
+1. The only trustworthy journaling program coming to iPad / iPhone is MacJournal - and it is not at all a pleasure to use on the desktop. I would pay a Things-level entry price for an enjoyable iPad journaling program!
Agreed, it would make buying an ipad more worthwhile. I would also use the iphone version synced with idisk.
Waiting for iPad version!
Requesting an iPad and iPhone version, with the ability to auto cloud sync either through google account or mobileme account.
It increases the usibilty of the App tremendously. I start an entry while coming home from work in a bus or subway, then when I reach home I freshen up and continue with my entry, finally while going to bed I have look at it on my iPad..........Its gonna be a great experience.
I have downloaded the free Trial of the Mac version and will convert to Full version only if there is and iPad and iPhone version with AUTO cloud sync.
Thanks.......All the best.
I would love an iPhone version, though I'd settle for syncing with Simplenote or something similar...
Can I add my voice to the call for an iPad version. I used to travel with my MBA and it was easy to update my journal when travelling. However, I find I do not need my MBA anymore, even for business trips - I take my iPad and a Bluetooth keyboard. The only thing I am missing is Memoires. My solution is to use one of the iPad journaling programs and then manually copy the entries to Memoires on my return. This is not ideal and is becoming boring. There are now more than 3 million iPads out there. I do not want to go back to MacJournal, but if their iPad app works well, I may have no choice.
Please don't lose this opportunity to keep your loyal customers. Those of us that have an iPad love them, and will buy software accordingly.
Cheers...Stuart
I just discovered Memoires and think it looks fantastic. Unfortunately I can't buy it without an iphone app companion that syncs via WI-FI. I've been using another popular journaling app (starts with a 'V') that syncs with iphone and I've found I write 95% of my entries in the iphone. It's like having a pocket Moleskine journal with you at all times. When the inspiration to journal comes it's so much more likely you'll have your iphone around than anything else. Once I got the hang of typing on the touch screen (having Landscape mode is crucial) I realized I have a tough time going back to writing on a keyboard. There's something about 'touching' your words out that has a strange, subconscious connection that's just a bit closer than typing on a keyboard - just my personal experience of course.
I'm not even a customer of yours (yet) and I hope you reconsider your position. I think many people would pay a premium for an iphone/ipad solution from you.
Now that you've released a couple of iPhone apps... could you tell us whether you're working on an iPhone version..? Thank you!
I wish there would be an iphone version.:)
Yes, +1 for the iPhone/iPad version!! It's so much easier to write entries as I think of them during the day, instead of sitting down at my computer at the end of the day to try and remember all that happened.
iPhone app would be great, so I can write my story and take a picture of it when it happens
I'd like to *bump* this topic, too. I think that for Memoires to grow and continue to reach new markets, there has to be an iOS version that syncs with the desktop app (maybe through Dropbox, or just wi-fi). Being able to write on the go, as the ideas strike, is important, and most people with iPhones and iPads have them at the ready everywhere they go.
Sure, there are other note taking or typing apps out there - but the added functions of the calendar and the simplicity and strength of Memoires' design - makes it a standout and sorely missing gap in the iOS app market.
Or, at the very least, why not tie the desktop app to an established writing app already, like Simplenote? The user could mark up the entry with a specific charcter to indicate that it's a Memoires entry, with the date, and the desktop app can scan the Simplenote files and import the ones that are Memoires entries. Anything would help to make the app more portable.
Are there any update to this?
There's no iOS version in development as of today.
I have to support the request for an iPad version, especially as I like to keep a diary on holiday and don't want to take my Macbook with me, but rather use the iPad or even my iPhone.
I've given it months and months, but it looks like, without an iOS version, I have to give up on Mémoires. Coding Robots already has my money, so I guess it's not big loss to them, but I'm going to try out MacJournal. Looks bloated like a dead whale, but at least there's iOS syncing, and since I spend WAY more time with my iPhone than I do with my desktop, it looks like the obvious choice.
