No connection to wordpress 2.3.1
(9 posts)-
Hi, i ve created a new blog at schoessow.mobi with the latest wordpress version 2.3.1. Blogjet cannot connect to that blog, although it connects to 4 other wordpressblogs (older versions) on the same server. I found a "solution" on your wiki, but this little hack "crashes" the site. I can open the xmlrpc.php with a browser. The error is: ode 123 the file name, directory name, or volume syntax is incorrect. (EOSerror) Any help is appreciated. ThomasPosted 4 years ago #

This was one of my favorites, but as i said, it crashes the page. I found some information on the wordpress.org concerning the xmlrpc.php. It seems that this files has some changes in the current version. Would it help to create an account in my blog for you ? ThomasPosted 4 years ago #

Oops, sorry, haven't read your post carefully. The problem is that your hosting provider turned on mod_security for Apache, and it seems like they don't allow it to be turned off from the .htaccess file. Please contact them and ask to turn off mod_security (at least for xmlrpc.php).Posted 4 years ago #

I did contact my web host and they couldn't turn off the mod as it affects everyone on the server.. so they say. I decided to install it on another computer and tested it and it worked so I uninstalled from my main machine.. grabbed a new download and now it works on all my sites... Must have been an issue in the installation process. Thanks for the supportPosted 3 years ago #
