Surely since your only other product is a Mac widget for Mahalo you can write a BlogJet version for Mac. I'm sure this has been requested before. Any word on this? Thanx! Dave

Sorry, we're not working on a Mac version of BlogJet (at least, at this time). Yes, I want it too, but considering the complexity of writing and, especially, supporting this kind of product, it isn't worth it, unfortunately...

Consider using MarsEdit ( http://www.red-sweater.com/marsedit/) or ecto for Mac (Adriaan is working on new sweet version of ecto that will use WebKit-based editor, just like BlogJet uses IE-driven one. See here -- http://ecto.kung-foo.tv/archives/001751.php).

i've tried this one before purchasing BlogJet... and i purchased BlogJet. If for MacOS ecto is the only best product of this kind, then i sympathize to poor Mac users :-\

ps. of course i tried win32 version. but i dont think it differs much from Mac

Actually, it differs a lot... But -- yes -- BlogJet is the best blog client out there compared to software on any platform :)

Hey - great to see you mention MarsEdit here. I'm the developer of that fine product :)

I appreciate that BlogJet does some really cool things that Mac users would find lacking in MarsEdit (and Ecto), but I definitely invite anybody who's interested to give MarsEdit a try.

The big dividing point for most users is whether they require a live WYSIWYG editor or whether they'd prefer to use plain HTML/MarkDown/whatever. Right now MarsEdit emphasizes plain-text editing with a nice preview window, but in the longer term I imagine I'll add a WYSIWYG editor like BlogJet has.

Many people do appreciate MarsEdit's simple interface and find it preferable to the web interfaces, so if you try it and find it "almost - but not quite fits the bill," do let me know how I can evolve the product to make it more attractive:

And Dmitry, thanks for sharing the info about MarsEdit. BlogJet was not on my radar until recently, but it looks like a pretty amazing product. I frequently get questions from Mac users wondering whether there's a Windows version of MarsEdit. So maybe we can send each other some refugees :)

    Daniel,

Nice to see you here! Your product is awesome, and I like how you continually improve MarsEdit since you acquired it (yeah, I'm reading your blog and following your twits :)).

It's a great idea to send people to each other!
